Top 5 Air Travel Apps Performance in Kenya Q3 2021

During the third quarter of 2021, the top five air travel apps in Kenya demonstrated diverse performance metrics. Here, we delve into the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user trends for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker experienced a fluctuating revenue stream, peaking at around $238 in the last week of June and then showing a general downward trend, ending the quarter at approximately $103. Weekly downloads saw an upward trajectory, reaching 400 in the week of August 23 and closing the quarter at 387. Active users also displayed a steady increase, rising from 1.3K at the beginning of the quarter to 1.6K by the end.

FlyJambojet showed a consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at 160 in late June and peaking at 402 in the final week of September. Revenue data was not available for this app.

KQ Mobile also saw a steady increase in downloads, from 129 in the last week of June to 288 by the end of September. Similar to FlyJambojet, revenue data for KQ Mobile was not provided.

Qatar Airways had a notable increase in active users, growing from 552 in late June to 925 by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar trend, starting at 103 and reaching a high of 318 in the first week of September, before settling at 313 in the last week of the quarter. No revenue data was available for Qatar Airways.

Ethiopian Airlines saw a steady rise in active users, starting at 929 in late June and reaching 1.1K by the end of the third quarter. Downloads also increased, from 116 at the beginning of the quarter to 262 in the final week of September. Like other apps, Ethiopian Airlines did not report any revenue data.
